Christian...you HAVE to report this to the police. They could be up there tomorrow doing the same thing and kill someone...but you could maybe play a part in preventing that if you report it asap. It is taken extremely seriously from what I remember of similar thing happening where I used to live, so get on the phone and let them know all the details.

If you don't tell them, they can't do anything to stop it!

Very glad you are ok and it wasn't worse for you. Did the bike suffer any damage?

Holy crap Christian, glad you're ok dude.

As others have said report it mate, if enough reports are filed they will have to unvestigate it.

Some bridges fall under camera views, so may have been caught on camera?

Not long after I got my SV, some local oiks, ran in the road to try and get me to crash, I was so angry I put my bike in the garage and really wanted to go back and 'talk' to them, but being so local I know this would've been more trouble than it's worth.

Riders should be allowed to bare arms, extra points for shooting toe rags off bridges.

Yeah I phoned the local station yesterday and gave them all the details I could.

No damage to bike, fortunately got away with just being annoyed and a bit of a bruise.

Follow it up I would for sure, before someone does actually get killed.

Congrats on staying up right but god knows how you stayed calm after it.
Yep, we've had a spate of these, with a near fatality, which our OB were treating as attempted murder

Big +1 to this

After the spate of objects being thrown from bridges round here (some copycat incidents) they put signs up with the bridge identity on the approach to the bridge, in a effort to speed up getting the OB to the right one. So our OB did start something, but as usual the little tuncs haven't been caught, bleedy difficult IMHO

Glad you're ok,

I regularly forward check bridges now, especially at dusk/ night when our incidents happened

It's only paranoia if they're not really out to get you.

I would say report it to the local police, but with all the cuts happening at the moment you have to get your timing right, Bognor police station is only open in the mornings, Chichester's is open all day (they need to police the high school next door) but is closed in the evenings. I feel the need to always check if people are on bridges before I go under them because I am scared of kids dropping things on me, probably caused by some public health film when I was a child.
