Best place for Bibio's Gizmo on a naked curvy?
To cut a long story short, I bought an electrical accessory box from Bibio a while ago, just found it again, I now have some time off work and want to fit it.
Wondering if anyone knows the best place to fit it on a 2001 SV naked? I wouldve liked to have fitted it on the fuse plate, over the battery. It will just go on the top of the cover and under the seat, Im just not sure about how to secure it, its pretty angular down there. I could fit it under my pillion seat, but I rely on that space for storage. Where have you lot fitted yours? TIA |

Under the riders seat on top of the fuse plate thingy. Best place for it

Blimey!
Forgot just how slow photobucket is. Add that to a crap PC and that equates to time Il never get back. Anyway..... Not the best of pictures but thats the gizmo fitted prior to my grips getting wired in. It fits nicely onto the fuse plate, using a tab on the gizmo itself, it required one small hole to be drilled into the fuse plate. I used the shortest dome-headed bolt I could find, so it wouldnt go anywhere near the battery terminal and didnt foul the relay. I added a couple of shock-proof washers for for good measure. I still have my Optimate lead wired straight to my battery, with access to the plug under the pillion seat for ease. I have the option to plug my cig lighter adapter into this for airbed inflation. Im now on the lookout for a quality waterproof power socket to mount onto the bars for my sat nav. |

I chose that side of the fuse plate, as the existing wiring loom runs that side so its easier to run the wires that side, the plate hinges that side and there is a handy gap there for running wires down.
