Good job I went out for a spin on Bullseye yesterday - it is way too hot for it today!
If we keep getting such long and hot spells I'm going to have to get some summer riding kit. My regular textiles are far too hot, especially my trousers as they're laminated. I can take the waterproof layer out of my jacket so it's not as bad but it's getting on a bit and the vents are probably not as good as newer designs. Who uses what in the hotter months?

I wear Under Armour leggings and long sleeve tops if it's really hot. Much thinner material than normal T shirts.
It stops your skin sticking to your bike gear which really helps with comfort, and it helps to wick away sweat. You notice the air coming through vents a lot more too. |

I was in the Welshpool Tesco car park yesterday and a young lad turned up on a very clean 2002 plate curvy in Grand Candy Blue. We had a good chat about it and I told him I had one in the same colour. He's had his for just a few months, and it's currently restricted, but he loves it. His still has the original silencer on it, and is the tidiest example I've seen for quite a while. He lives locally so I gave him my number and said to call me if he wanted a ride out in company. I also suggested he looked in here.

Take care out there all. The heat seems to lower the IQ of so many road users. I lost count of how many people pulled out without looking, cut me up, dawdled, crossed the white line, stopped for no reason without indicating and tried to turn right (into my path) at a crossroads. So glad I am working from home for the rest of the week!

Morning all. I'd like life to just slow down a little if you please. It's all happening too fast!
"Slow down, you move too fast, Gotta make the morning last...." How is everyone else?

Trying to stay cool in Norfolk...
We interred dad's ashes today and, if the weather holds, we'll have a family BBQ tomorrow raising a few glasses in his honour.

Morning all. Bit muggy and overcast here today. I'd been hoping for some rain today, but although we had a few drops last night it wasn't enough to make any difference. The forecast now is for no rain till tomorrow. The water butts are getting low and the garden needs a good soak.
Hope the weather holds for you Trevor, and you have some good memories to look back on.

Windy......
I'm getting fed up with the constant wind. Very gusty here again today. A large branch has just broken off one of my plum trees ![]() I was considering a ride on the bike but decided against being battered. Ho hum.

Now back from the BBQ at my cousins house, and I've had WAY too much vino. And I don't care how badly the room is spinning...
Rest well dad, now you're settled in the earth of the village you've always called home.

Morning all. Wet and grey here this morning. It's not raining all that hard but it's enough to freshen up everything. We need a day of it now to fill the water butts again.
Hope your head isn't too sore this morning Trevor.
