Morning all. Grey and damp here, but it is meant to brighten up later.

I have a small gardening job for someone this morning, followed by a couple of finishing off tasks on two old Singer machines for people.

I have eight of these machines in my house at the moment and only three of them are mine. I'm hoping to get at least three of them back to their owners in the next month or so, and one of them which is mine, will be sold on. One of the others belongs to daughter Eleri and is going to have to stay with me till she finishes uni next year. Be nice to get the space back!

How's the day looking for you all?

We're visiting my son in Brighton. Tipping down with rain which is annoying so I'm trying to find some indoor activities to keep us amused.

John - try the toy museum in the arches under the train station. Quite an interesting place. Also Snoopers Paradise in North Laines.

Thanks for that. We went to Knepp wilding for breakfast and by that time the rain had finished and didn't reappear thankfully. We also visited Huxley's bird of prey centre.

We've done most of the attractions in Brighton but not the toy museum.

Afternoon all. Peeing hard with rain here at the moment but it's supposed to get lighter shortly. I have to go to Shrewsbury to collect something this afternoon. I really don't want to drive the car all the way there so the waterproofs are coming out and I'll ride there and back. At least it'll wash all the dead bugs off the front of the bike....

Big storm going on here at the moment. Could have got away without the waterproofs on the ride to Shrewsbury. Took them off for the ride back, but glad I got home before this storm hit!

Drove in and out of some terrible downpours going to and coming back from Chasewater Country Park today. Near Cannock. Annual summer meet up for my old uni mates, but it was not very summery today. At least the rain held off for our picnic (stood round the table as all the benches were soaking wet) and a wander up to Brownhills West Station on The Chasewater Steam Railway.

My goodness the M40 and M42 were SO busy!

Morning all. Out walking with Mabel and currently sitting on one of my favourite hills with a cup of tea. I may have to go into Shrewsbury later to get a couple of last minute odds and ends for the hike and wildcamp in the mountains on Wed/Thurs/Fri.

How is the day going for everyone?

Well a mix up with gluten free sausages which were not at a party over the weekend laid Mel low on Sunday. Several trips to the doctor's yesterday and a blood test already this morning is keeping me busy driving. They think it may now be full blown Celiac disease, so are testing for that. We hope its not that bad as we know how to manage her intolerance.

Bloody hell Mike, that sounds pretty stressful all round. I hope Mel's not in to much discomfort.
