Now then. if your bikes oil level is on the maximum mark, do you firstly have to remove some before putting zx1 in or do you just add.

now then. sorry to flog a dead horse with this page but the saga continues. With limited tools experience and money i've all but exhausted many things. We've had a good scout around and a good clean and even put an original front sprocket on.

Now there was a small amount of noise coming off the front sprocket, however there is still this horrendous whine.
It is only now really noticeable in 3rd at around 30-40ish mph and only when there is load on the engine and throttle.
Just wondering if any one had come across this or knew wat it might be. All your help is very much appreciated.

I think with mine I'm going to have to just start pulling covers off and look for anything that's been too hot.

Yeah, have a prod around with a screwdriver next to your ear and see if you can hear it at idle. On dizzyblondes bike the whine was obviously from the front head.
