just out of interest i used these, worked a treat...
sensor: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/s...0701&x=31&y=18 magnets: http://www.first4magnets.com/f4645--...ck-20-23-p.asp to fix the magents i used Steel Grip 2 part from halfords... get a piece of cling film and cover an area big enough on a worktop or table to fit your disc on then place magnets in the rotor holes, lay your disk 'outside' down on top of the cling film so the magnets are on the worktop/table. push the magnets down with a cotton bud so as they are as flat to the worktop/table as possible. mix the Steel Grip 2 part on a scrapper or something, fill the 'back' of the rotor holes with the Steel Grip 2 part so as it is just proud, leave to dry then file flat or leave how is.... i made a bracket with the pitch of the mudguard bolt fixings then drilled a hole for the sensor.. my sensor ended up right next to the top mudguard fixings it is a gsxr100 k2 front... doesn't matter what the bracket is made from as long as its strong enough.. e.g. cheep plastic or stainless scraper.. i also found that i had to get longer bolts for the mudguard fixing so i could get a nut on the end to fix the bracket to.. i also spliced the original speedo sensor wires to the new sensor... i have a word document explaining it all in a little more detail if you are interested... |

That's a fairly pricey sensor you've used Bibio (well, compared to Amnesia's sensor), still, I am going to look into it though.
I haven't even looked at magnets yet |

I've been looking into the Hamlin sensor and really like the look of it.
I found the datasheet on it, and the one that Amnesia has should be used about 18mm away from the magnets (depending upon the magnet of course), you can also get it with different connectors (but I guess that it can't be that difficult to fit your own). I can either get one from Digi-key with a £12 delivery charge, or but £20 worth from Hamlin. If I bought 4 or 5 of these would there be anyone of interest? |

Hey Amnesia,
Got a quick question with regards to the hamlin sensor... .... Which wire goes where? On my sensor I've got a black, red, and blue. Cheers Paul |

Have a look here...
http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php...8&postcount=85 This gives the SV - GT1 - Honeywell wiring colours, which helps a bit. From this the SV wiring is... Orange / Red trace = Live Pink = Sensor Output Black / White trace = Ground Then wire the sensor the following way... "Sensor Red" to Orange / Red trace "Sensor Black" to Black / White trace "Sensor Blue" to Pink Now this is based on a POINTY colour scheme, if your SV colours are different then I would ask Yorkie Chris or Northwind. Or, if you have a meter you can determine which your live and ground wires are and connect accordingly. ![]() ![]() ![]() Things to check... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What is the going price for a complete K4ish GSXR 600/750/1000 front end?
Am I right in thinking from the donor bike the following is needed, for a pointy: Forks Calipers Disks Wheel Yolks Fender Speedo Spindle Also need Clip ons Speedo fix The current SV tyre can be put on the GSXR rim? Am I missing anything? What sort of money can be had for the left over SV parts (mint)? With however many months under your belt, are you happy the cost / work required was worth it Amnesia? |
