But have they taken rider weight into acount in their power to weight ratio?

And as speeds increase the aerodynamic influence comes in to play with acceleration, which is to do with drag coefficient and frontal area which I doubt have been improved significantly. My guess is that when these have been taken in to account it won't be any quicker once over the ton. But it'll probably still make a good read, and depending on how they do the comparison the 600 may be quicker round certain tracks.

On the subject of weights I looked up the wet weight and claimed power of the current VFR800F...

246kg and 107BHP

Then compared this to my '88 VFR750F

234kg and 103.5BHP

Feck, 12kg and 3.5BHP power gain over 20 years!

weight is deceptive though whats quoted on paper sometimes doesnt translate to how heavy a bike feels too be honest i'd rather a sure footed bike than a twitchy sport bike anyday if you want light weight fun go and buy a 250 two stroke everything else is playing at it.

Aye it is shocking. Apparently the most powerful VFR is the 2nd incarnation of the VRF 750. (not sure what years it was out) but they clain 112BHP... But it weighed a LOT.

I thought it was latest gen is the most powerful, 1st gen is next then 2nd gen.

Then again that's from claimed so who knows.

ZX10 was high speed bullet of the day. 160mph sofa lol. Big like CBR1000F and that ilk.
