Has anyone had a heavy front end smash with a USD front end on? I'm guessing the frame is at more risk.

In the pics the forks looked fine, but the frame was in 2 pieces.

sorry to hear of your off
if the forks snapped, i would get the frame checked out, as it must have been a fair whack, although it may work out cheaper to sell/break the bike, and get somthing else? Last edited by hovis; 28-04-09 at 12:08 PM. |

Just spent 2 hrs with my ole man, getting the bike down the alley to the rear of my house, and in the garage.
Due to the "fisher price" trolley buckling under the front end weight. Looking at the forks, the bottom section seems fine and it was the sliders that snapped. Eyes only check of the frame shows no sign of any cracks at the welds, but mechanic should hopefully confirm this. Still got a bit of a dizzy head, stiff neck, and knee & shoulder still has a dull aching pain but apart from that I'm ok. Just eager to get the repairs/breaking underway depending on frame getting the all clear. |
