Totally agree, having my nipple pierced hurt so much more than any of my tattoos

Yes to a degree you can. If we are talking about simple operation scar tissue then the answer is yes. If you look carefully at the tattoo on my back in the picture, you will see that a scar runs down the length of my spine from an operation.

If however the scar is say a deep burn type scar then the answer is no. This is because the skin is different.

When you have a tattoo, the ink is injected about 3 or 4 mm below the surface into the permanent skin (forget the technical name for this). With heavy scar tissue this is not possible.

I considered the £80 for my tattoo money well spent, love it.

As for the female equivalent of the Albert......................doesn't hurt a bit

I guess that's compensation for childbirth

I have one on each upper arm so they are easy to cover in the office and I have made a promise that i will get nothing done from elbows down, neck up and knees down for obvious reasons.

I also have a back piece that was very painful but i have never regretted having any of them done and they have been with me now for over 10 yrs ... if you are thinking about getting one done my advice to anyone would be to draw your design pin it somewhere you are going to see it everyday. If at the end of 6 months there has not been one single day where you havent loved the design then go for it.. once its done it is very painful to get it removed and a hastle to tattoo over it in a cover up attempt!
