i took about 7.5inches off i did it like yorkie chris by taking off the bottom cap and cutting out a section on the bottom but if i was doing it again i think i would take off the top cap and cut the top because the center cylinder bit of the exhaust was a b**ch to get back into the top end cap maybe worth taking a note how far the center cylinder tube goes into the end cap.hope this makes sense

well it was just hard to get it lined up right, patience was the main thing then start hitting/taping then end cap in. Like those before i had to cut notches in the end cap and bend them over a bit to aid getting the end cap into the exhaust. N.b. also hard cos it is a tight fit in the first place!
