Default Re: My Gixer Has been stolen!

I live on an ex-council estate. Most families are relatively poor (read: below min wage & in receipt of govt benefits).

My local area, compared to WA2 as described by the link from sarah:
  • I have less "crime against a person," infact, far less than the Welsh Average. mpaton's area is about in line with the English average.
  • My area is less affected by robbery. Zero reported cases on that site, and indeed, I'm unaware of any theft occuring in the village since I moved in.
  • There's more theft of motor vehicles in mpaton's area. Again, my area being well below Welsh average, mpatons being almost exactly average.
  • There's less theft from a vehicle in my area, again, below Welsh average, and mpatons reflects the English average.
Personally, I class where I live as a "scabby area." I also grew up on council estates & as you can probably tell, I'm not ashamed of that fact.

Sorry to continue the derail, but I figured I had to say something

Anyone ridden the new BMW F800 ST?

C'est la vie, as they say in Belgium.
Whilst crime levels in Warrington are generally lower than the national average,
the central wards have a higher reported crime rate for some types of crime such as
criminal damage.

Fear of crime and concern about safety in the town centre is significant, particularly for
older people.

Young people account for nearly half of all disorder incidents reported to the Police
and they are also a contributory factor in fear of crime. Drugs and alcohol are significant in
this context.

Road safety is a major concern as Warrington compares poorly to regional and

national averages for road traffic accidents.

Doesn't look like a non scabby area to me. Judging by your local website it's a place with a high average of poor drivers and a community living in fear of young, drugged up trouble makers. Oh dear

not a very good idea posting exactly where you live on a public site, although i expect you had the sense to make one up............. or mybe not

People with more than 2 braincells will realise that the postcode searches cover the whole council region and not particular areas. In Warrington's case, it covers a radius of approximately 20 miles from Warrington Town Centre.

Pity the people who live in Hale and Bowdon, it must be horrific.
And given that you don't know Kates post code how can you make any assumptions about what crime is like where she lives? You utter cretin.

So basically it doesn't matter where you live then, as suposed nice areas are surrounded by scabby areas and scabby areas are surrounded by nice areas all over the country. I'd rather live in a dump surrounded by beauty than live in beauty surrounded by a dump.

Anyway congrats for getting everyones backs up this avo and straying from the topic in hand.

Good luck with the bike Kate

Got in the RAF yet?

I don't need a postcode. It's in or around London.

No problem. I once generated one of the longest threads in the history of the site (regarding speeding). Popularity and hits went up over 176%, so I'm told.
