Dont you think the CVLS-DV20 is abit big though? Although interested to see how long battery life is. |

Make sure that you get a good class of card and I dont just mean dont get some slapper of an SD card I mean get like a class 6 or at least a 4 to make sure that the write speeds will be ok. Also make sure that the card is compatible with the camera as some cameras can only take certain card sizes.

Could someone measure up a contour HD for me? I'm looking for the diameter of the lens housing so if I was to cut a hole in some fairing to poke it through, how big would that hole need to be?
Has anyone got a HD 1080? Is it worth the extra? I'm particularly interested in examples of frame rates at 60 fps ![]() Cheers for any help Thanks Luke |

one more...
Are the 720 and 1080 the same size in terms of housing? The contour websites only lists one set of dimensions, but they look different in the photographs Cheers Luke |

Im no pro with memory cards but I have ordered a standard Sandisk 16GB to go with my new recorder, £18.99 off amazon, cant go too far wrong. No need for any of the high speed cards standard ones are plenty fast enough unless you doing 1080P,

Dave, the camera you got is the uprated version of the one i got, looks the same.
This is the one i used the other week when we went green laning. In regards to memory cards, my Nikon D90 Recommends the 'fast' cards for its video recording, so i bought a 4 gb sandisc ultra for something like £8. I'll just use smaller cards tbh, less to lose when they go pete tong. |

Had a visit from Ravingdavis this afternoon on his "test run". EXCELLENT results from his new vidcam, colour superb/audio loud/light to shade 100%/stability excellent/colour contrast v.good, only thing left to sort is the distance focal length.
Sure he will post vid later when he returns home. 5***** thanks for the visit. JOHN |
