Brake light not working help - Page 2 - SV650.org

Hmm, I suppose a connector could have come loose in the drop, or the unit could be physically damaged, but I don't know pointies so I'm not sure where to start looking. Did the front lever touch down at all?

Yeah the end is scratched up. The switch still clicks when you the pull the lever in though so it doesn't look damaged.

I'm going to take the seat off and try and trace the wires. will be difficult because i don't know which ones are involved but i'll look for obvious signs.

The crash wasn't a bad one as i was going about 10mph when the front slid from underneath me.

I know the connector at the back for the tail light assembly consists of brake light only, normal light and then GND i think. Maybe if i could get some wire i could connect it just to GND and normal light to see if the brightness differs. Don't think it will but worth a try. I'll also disconnect the rear brake and only work on the front one until that works.

think i'm suffering from trying to fix it all at once and not doing it step by step.

Will the connector pin coming from the fusebox read different voltages i.e. 0 when brake light not active and 12< volts when the brake is activated)?
