well the obvious plus to London is that you will be eligible to join the Soho Massive!

Quite possibly. If I do, it'll be full time. I'll also try and wait a couple of years, so I have enough experience in security that I can do freelance consulting during the holidays etc. to part fund it. I'll need to see how the gf's job pans out before I can see if we can afford to do it.

Well here's hoping that everything pans out for a crack at the PhD, because the world really will be your oyster then ... and not just your oyster card LOL

Well done on getting a distinction. I was *very* close to distinction on my M.Sc. but didn't quite make it. Hope that all works out work-wise for you.
