I agree with the 200mile+ estimate. I regularly get 160 miles to 13 litres! As you might have guessed, I don't ride very quickly, and most of my riding is a motorway commute.

I have managed 158 to £11 which was about 11.5 litre....so 62mpg
No idea how man litres/miles were left in it but the petrol light hadnt started flashing yet. That was 70 - 80 mph up the A1. I would say 200 was easy if you rode very carefully. |

If it ocst £11 then that means youll have had about 4-5 liters left in the tank... thats almost a Gallon, so if you ran to fumes youd have pulled off 210+. See it isnt too bad at all. I think its all about being smooth and using higher gears, and obviously not stopping too often. Except for fuel when your bike is bucking ![]() |

Out of interest - whats the risk in running the tank empty and running out of fuel totally?
I noticed theres no "NEVER DO THIS" section in the manual (that I saw ![]() I can imagine its a very bad idea.....anyone done it? |

If you are REALLLLLLY unlucky then you will drag the crap jellyfied Petrol from the bottom of the tank. If its been allowed to stand long enough, petrol goes off - so you are better running it low every so often ![]() Like said other issue is pushing the bike! They start to weigh a fair amount quick! ![]() |

200 miles easily
60mpg devide that by 4.55 = gives you 13.12 miles per litre. Sooo. 13.12 x 17 litre tank = 223 miles! So you should easily get 200 then hit for the pumps quick! |

Done 180 on a tank a few times desperate to get home without stopping, and then never made it to the petrol station in the morning!

im thinking over 200 easily, im still running mine in and went to southampton form home then to wiltshire, nearly 200 miles, averaging speed of about 70, about 5000rpm, and only had to put about £7 of fuel or something stupid like that in my bike.... so if u ride like a fanny (not that i usually do, and wont be once its had its service!) i say about 245miles!
