Surprisingly light. Makes you wonder how light one of the big manufacturers could make one with a purpose built engine. I'd certainly consider a diesel bike.

They're obviously talented guys. So it's strange that they've built the ugliest bike known to man... But the project itself is very interesting. Kawasaki have a diesel trailie, if memory serves, which is sold to the military market.

Yup. Petrol isn't available everywhere unlike diesel. That way they can just siphon diesel from the big military trucks if need be.

The rolling chassis is Kawasaki, but the engine is Hayes summat-or-other. The objective is a single fuel for all (land-based) military vehicles. A PITA for the military logistics if they've got to get Logistics to have both petrol and diesel in the right places.
