Still my car is 14 months old. The wiper motor failed yesterday. So in garage for a new one fitting this morning. Waiting for the phone call to pick it up. Thank god I ain't paying. Cost me 2.70 for a sodding bus home after dropping it off. Probably the same to go back to pick it up. Nearly as tight as a tyke us Lancastrians

I don’t understand this ‘shifting expenses about’ lark … I get a salary … that means I have a finite amount of money to spend each year. I have known expenses, that come up at certain times, so you budget such …
Basically why does it make any difference if they all come in at the end of the year, or 1/12 every month??? |

Tell me more about spending money! We are expecting first baby in Jan. I have just renewed car insurance and the bike one as well. Also we are moving house (should be in the new one on the 5.12.) and I cannot believe how much stamp duty, solicitors, removals etc cost! Rip off! RIP OFF. Never mind X-mas presents, mine and wifes birthday etc. There will be no savings left at the end of Jan!

Do you have the means to pay this off at billing time???
If not why did you spend so much? How long will it take to clear and how much interest will you pay for the luxury of a kitchen you couldn't afford* at the time of purchase? ![]() *again presumably Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 24-11-07 at 12:50 AM. |

Yes the money is in the building society allocated for this. It is simply when buying goods/services in advance I want the protection given by a card over cash. I am in fact going to the building society this morning to arrange transfer of cash to my credit account to enable me to pay the bill as and when it arrives
