Hi

I'm after a top box, I want my lad to be more comfortable on the back. They are expensive though, I've jusy priced one up. 80 for the braket and 170 got the box.

so if you know anyone who's selling one let me know

I'd responded to the London call as I was trying to avoid sending a very large heavy item by post.
It's huge so packaging will be tricky.

All seems to be there, bolts for the rack into rear footpegs, rubbers for the grab handle.
Only bit I'm not 100% on, as it's a while since I took it off, is that I think there's a couple of little threads that go up into the underneath of the grab handle, but not sure.

Condition alert also, one side of the box is scuffed after a v low speed off that the mrs had, otherwise it's fine.
will post picks later and see who wants it.

Depends how much stuff you want to carry and whether you need to leave it on the bike or not If you do then I'm sorry to say a topbox may be the way forward (Sorry Matt and all others with them, they are fugly!). However I'd rather go for soft luggage: panniers, tailpack and tankbag than a topbox, coz it's all stuff that's easily removable when you want to go naked...

Take care I think the fitting is different between a pointy and Curvy. I may have a curvy set-up for sale shortly as I'm about to sell the bike and it looks a lot prettier (hence easier to sell) if the carrier is removed.

Unless Givi have changed the design, the curvy ones just fit to the sub-frame and rear peg hangers where-as the pointy ones also have an ugly clip over the grab handle.

Mr Lou has an SV top box for sale (never used ) It's one that fits in the place of the pillion seat, rather than out the back of the bike.

I'll ask him tonight how much he wanted. If anyone's interested we're in the Midlands.

Lou,

If it's one for a pointy then I am very interested. Please drop me a PM with details if he decides he wants to sell.

Thanks,
