ooooops. yes you are a lucky dooood. Scaphoid are a little awkward on the healing front, look after your wrist or you'll stop it from healing right. lucky lucky person, mind you Im Indoors bounced down the m62 in the fast lane once and amazingly came out with no injuries, he was pillion at the time. Not too good on the 'my bike just spat me off' thing, my work colleague is nursing a wonky knee at the moment too

Cheers for all the well wishes. Sitting here now I do realise that I got off lightly. Mrs Drew (Lily on here), said it was the worst hour of her life waiting to see me in A&E.

As soon as I had gained all my senses, I asked the doctor, "When will I be able to ride again?". Mental.

I'm just hoping the bike isn't a write off, but as I've not seen it I'm only going on the views of the paramedic and truck driver (both bikers) who believed it wasn't bad.

Bottom Line, I may be upset about having to buy all the gear, but least I'm still here to laugh with those I love and thats all that matters. Still, wanna ride my bike again NOW!!!

PS - The most amazing thing, the very laptop I am writing this on was in my back pack and it has remained completely unscathed!!!! RESULT!!!!

WOW glad you are ok mate and managed to walk way, 70MPH on a motorway lucky you were not hit by anything.

Maybe you went over some oil od something on the road?? Glad the bike appears to be ok, I bet the R&G’s are ground right down?

Not sure at the moment as not seen it. But, insurance are sending it to the dealer I got it from and luckily I know them quite well, so had a chat with them not long ago and before they do any assesement they are going to let me know so I can look it over.

Will keep everyone informed when I know more.

On a plus, am also claiming for all the bike gear, so new helmet, new jacket etc coming up.

You are a lucky chap for still being here.
Take it steady and give your arms and wrists time to heal properly or you might find riding in the future hard work, better and extra week or two off the road than a life time not riding.

Crazy! Maybe you hit something, I have sometimes seen chunks of wood and bits of tyre in the road, at 70mph you can't avoid them. Seems a strange thing to have your bike go out from under you when on a motorway, one is usually going straight at that point. Anyway, very glad you are ok, seems a miracle that noone else hit you and they managed to scrape you off the fast lane! Go buy a lottery ticket now!
