As in when I turn the key the neutral light does not appear! I'll switch the red wires around and see if that has any impact. Before that I'll see if I can find the clutch wire and that everything appears connected!

Thanks for your advice people,
G

It's got to be in gear hasn't it? Or the gear wiring may have been tampered with.

that could mean its in gear, or it thinks its in gear due to the wires being wrong/cut.

I have a feeling that wiring is not right, so that's going to be the first thing I check now!! At present when I turn the key it lights up green and shows as being not in great. Don't have a diagram, I followed the wires colour to colour apart from the reds which required guess work!

Cheers.

Ok, If i put the key in and turn it to the on position the green light appears to indicate electrics are working and that it is not in gear.

If it's the clutch switch, it won't turn over.

If it's the killswitch, it won't turn over.

Your cut wires are from the IGNITION switch, not from the controls, I'll put 13p on it being the wires which go to the diode under the switch, or the diode itself.

If it's that then the ignitor box will have power as it should, but won't spark.
