Thank you.

Been looking at my mate's SV and I think the screen in the link I posted is actually a cowling/screen from a newer SV, K5 onwards?

Am I right? If so does anyone know where I can buy OEM Suzuki parts online? The usual searches don't seem particularly fruitful.

Cheers

Welcome, I'm sure half of the issue is just getting used to it. Ear plugs will help no end too, (assuming you don't wear them already), they just make everything less stressful and will reduce the sense of wind blast a bit too.

Btw, what's this "And September 2006" thing about? Did I miss something?

The September 2006 thing was just the name of the folder in the gallery catalogue that I found the original picture in!

As for ear plugs, I have been wearing them, on M-way anyway. I'm a drummer so pretty used to taking care of my hearing, Cymbals do more damage than wind blast! And they definately do make a difference. They dull the violence associated with higher speeds so to speak.

But I do still want to get one of those wee cowls of a K5 or later model.

Anyone any ideas, or where I could get a number for Suzuki? Their official web sites aren't up to much.

Cheers

Nicky

You'll get used to the wind blast, I'm fairly comfy cruising at decent motorway speeds for quite a while, it's my ar$e that goes numb before I get tired of the wind blast. That's on a naked one with no screen or anything like that

You're probably right. But I still think the K3 model in particular (as it has the single instrument cluster as opposed the kind of double effort with the speedo and the revs on the curvy) looks unfinished.

I'm comfortable enough with my reasons for getting into biking to admit that I'm fairly image conscious!!
