2 piece leathers compatibility question

my Spada gear will not zip to my Weiss gear

Rob, they often have cloak rooms at these exhibition cntres where you can leave your jacket, try giving the organisers a quick ring to see if they've got one, you can then buy your pants, check your gear into the cloakroom and enjoy the rest of the day.

Many manufacturers use the same size/pitch zip so they will fit together, however there are a few that use a finer size/pitch zip (can't remember the makes but FT used to be one). It would be best to take the jacket with you.

Think Ill take it with me to be on the safe side. Its definitely the finer zip which goes all the way round but lengths may vary.

My Alpinestars jacket zip (thin one) does not fit the (chunky) zip on my Lewis kecks. Gutted.

My hein gericke jacket fits my frank Thomas trousers.

In the length of the zip doesn't matter too much. In hein gericke I mixed different size jacket and trousers and the zips are slightly different lengths, the staff said this was ok and they're usually knowledgeable chaps

Dainese leathers will zip to Spidi leathers (they both use thin zips)

try to match zip lengths too, if they are of different lengths, you may feel a twist in you suit when zipped up.

This is more noticeable in closer fitting leather.
