![]() I straightened mine. It was quite difficult... ![]() The bit of wood was to give me a centreline, makes it easier to eyeball the bend. The trick is to not just bend it by pulling on the ends, that'll bend other parts. Instead I got a big steel bar and attached it just to the part I wanted to shift, right in the middle, so that I could push one end and pull the other and just twist the part I wanted to. I used 2 big jubilee clips to attach it. Worked really well, but time consuming. My garage is the BEST!

nice to see some one doing the work like that, spoke with my dad and he said easy to do with heat etc and would take him half a day etc,
i have phoned up the dealers and i can get a new one for 126 inc vat which i have ordered as it was a lot better than a second hand one at 111 pound got a foot rest hanger coming tomo from ebay thanks to this thread found it for the gsxr srad |

Yeah, it took me an hour or two but there was a lot of refitting and unfitting and refitting in that, which I'm quite fast at now for obvious reasons

well today arrived my hanger thanks to ebay, nice bargin, already fitted that one
went into the dealers today ordered a new subframe front cost of 136 pounds plus a new battery and the mirror shoulnt be to long till its on the road again |

I straightened my front sub frame using my gas torch and a vice. Not perfect, but it was ok. Other plans afoot now.
