I have a JCB one that comes with brushes for the car. I haven't been brave enough to use it on the bike and I prefer Chris's suggestion of a long handled brush (not bristle).

Dizzyblonde has a scrubby thing with long plastic bristles on it, and her bikes are dead clean.

Ask her though, as I don't actually clean mine.

Lol you can't polish rust, and tbf it was her feller responsible for that bike getting into such a decayed state before she bought it.

Anyway I'm well chuffed with the result of that, now she's got all my oily fingerprints off it it looks lovely, well about as good as a faired bike can be expected to.

With power washers you take all the grease out of bearings and such, do more harm than good.
Yup I caught my neighbouir power washing his bike, I said no don't do that!

He now washes his without one, or when I'm around he decided to check and clean the chain as he done that for quite some time! He watched me cleaning the race bike, was like I never clean mine that way. Okay it won't fire properly but it was clean!

I've got a cheap B&Q one, it's rubbish frankly but that's all to the good, it's never going to degrease a bearing or blow off paint I mainly use it to squirt on cleaning stuff, and sometimes to do wheels. Also to clean paths. As long as you're careful where you point them they're fine IMO. But I could live without it easily enough.
