I'm 6'6" about 17 stone and I have no problems whatsoever with the bike. When I rode around with no front subframe for a little while (just to see what it was like) I did look a bit silly crouched across it but with the fairing it looks perfectly fine. Of course, the SV is the biggest bike I've ridden - I passed on a Yam 125 so anything felt roomy after that. On the 125 I couldn't turn the bike very far or the bars hit my knees!

Haven't sat on a recent fazer so can't make the comparison, but I've tended to find IL4600s to generally be better suited to shorties than the SV - ie the other way round. At other end of the scale (and tape measure) I'm 5'5" and have found I'm probably about an inch too short for a stock SV - not enough to be a problem, just enough to be marginally noticeable. My mate's Kwak 636 fits me like a glove though.

Thanks everyone - pretty much as I thought when I had a test ride - didn't feel too small at all.
would the bigger chaps and chapettes recommend upgrades to fork springs and rear shock? (I've heard the Hagon progressives are very good and the rear shock from a kwak ZX-6 636 will bolt straight in - apparently) |

6ft 2 here , 17 stone and have a little cramping on my legs on a longish haul , got a nice link for some peg lowering plates that I have on order just to ease things off a tad , all in all though , no real complaints .

+1
6ft1 13.5st and fine <------------ I dont think i make the bike look small. Hell when I sit on other bikes zx6r, cbr600rr etc they fell much small, maybe slightly taller but definately thinner and generally smaller. I'm sure you will be fine. |
