Yes he's a tool. But what harms he done to anyone apart from hurt a camera operatives feelings with the V sign.

A friend of mine was knocked off his bike last year by a ****** of a car driver, driving homicidally badly. Hip held together with titanium, one hand needing serious surgery, f###ed over by the NHS, lost his business which he'd put everything into.

The car drivers serious punishment for wrecking a lovely blokes life?

3 points, 60 quid.

Come on, there are far worse people who need to be inside!

Yet only yesterday the UKs worst drug gang all got convicted, and some of the guys only got 18months (out in 9 for good behaviour )

I dont disagree with HIS sentence though, its just that there is no consistency.

Although I hate the fact that we will be funding his all inclusive trip to the clanger....he should be handed the bill afterwards and be made to pay it back in monthly instalments......and that goes for all prisoners that can/will have the mean to afford it once they are out.

Agreed Chris, but as pointed out elsewhere it was most likely the 'perverting the course of justice' bit of registering the bikes under false names that got him clink.

The problem of the car driver that totalled your mate is that he should have gone inside but did not. It is his sentence that was wrong not the one for the biker IMHO.

As posted above, it is the consistency in sentencing that is lacking.

Even his face winds me up !

The guy is a total (whatever bad word you want to use most will be applicable) trouble is more and more people are metaphorically sticking two fingers up to the police and getting away with stuff, his sentence was a joke 65 times caught over 80 in a 30 if caught separately that would be a year ban for each offence so there is 65 years worth of bans bet the bikes were not Insured or taxed and I am glad he didn't crash and hurt anybody people with a blatant disregard for everyone lese should be off our streets for good not a few months.

Yup. crimes against the state / bureaucracy are taken way more seriously than those against person or property........by the state / bureaucracy. FWIW although he was a Tw#t I really do not see that prison time is worthwhile in this case.

But what makes me furious are the "life sentences" with small minimums. And the "I didn't mean to kill him - I only hit him in the head with an iron bar once" manslaughter convictions and resulting derisory sentences.

The problem with the Criminal injustice system is the same as most Govt departments - short sighted thinking. Locking a toe rag up for a longggg stretch means he does not cost to recycle ad nauseum or to "manage / monitor" in the community - but most importantly of all...........he can't breed when inside and create further scroats.
