The datatool was put on when I first bought the bike. Never had a problem until fitting the new smaller indicators. I did have a look for that but cant find anything the only way i could have done something was knocking the wires under the pillion seat. But the originals are still fine. I've the standard ones back on and there after changing the fuse of course everything works fine. Just doesn;t make sense.

got a funny feeling if you search the boards something on a resistor needing to be placed across the indy comes to mind.

I have had a look at that thought the resistors were only really needed for LED indicators. Coz mine are bulds and are 21w thought there wouldn't be any need for it. I mite get a couple of in line resistors which can be clipped straight in. Im no thinking there could be fault with the indicator unit they were only a tenner for the pair.

check with where you bought them from.Mine were £15 for reflective ones and slotted straight on.

well i cut the original connections and ripped the bullets off and 5a connector blocked them.

resistors arnt needed with 21w bulbs, the indy wiring sounds like its wired faulty to me and both connections inside the unit are touching hence blowing the fuse.
