You take pics and send them to any newspaper editor that will listen.

Thats what I was thinking...

Didn't have my camera though - which is rubbish because they park there quite regularly.

Anywhere a police camera van is parked as part of a pre-planned operation should be subject to a risk assessment, that should include the suitability of the site, and it definitely shouldn't be illegally parked.....so I've heard. Are you sure it's a police camera van?

That's a bit presumptuous. Such things are common knowledge, if you know the right sort of people.....

We started at 90, they overtook me I matched them for some miles, they waved me past, overtook, got faster, waved me past again and generally enjoyed 50 miles of playing on a boring motorway.

Of course there are the ones who would get perverse enjoyment from nicking you. They do exist. However, a good copper would get more respect from educating than punishing.
Sorry, I just don't believe this at all.

What they waved me goodbye, or there are one's who enjoy nicking you.

The wave me goodbye started on the M57, down the M60 and onto the M61. I pulled off at Chorley J8 It was about 11:30 PM. and that is where they waved me goodbye. They had crossed boundaries between Greater Manchester and Lancashire by at least two junctions, so either going somewhere or returning from somewhere in a white and hi glo yellow range rover I wasn't able to catch which force crest was on it.

As for the ones that enjoy nicking you. They are the ones too thick to know what an attitude test is, never mind how to apply it. Points mean prizes to them.

Perhaps they were Highways Agency, rather than police?
