Nice one! For me this is what it's all about. You must have hit that lever hard to snap it mind, mine's just gradually wearing away.

Large islands are my favourite. Not so many places about for the left hand side.

so that's the answer - lots of practice!!

I've not got the confidence to get my bike over that far. I guess I'll have to get out more and practice.

no mate, i wasnt going round and round in circles trying to get it as low as possible, i head up to the industrial estate out of hours as its a safe place to practice, i like to perfect my riding skills as much as possible, and also try and up the pace more and more... im guessing over 50% of people on this forum do the same. it just happens there is one corner where it is quite benifical to lean very low to get the most speed, each time i do it, i get slightly lower and lower, now i have found the limit, i can feel the bike starting to slide at this point, but if your gradually working towards it, its easy to control with the throttle, and if i do go past this limit, i will be thrown off. but up to this limit is fine (apart from the damage it causes to the bike!! lol)

if i did drop it... the bike bounced up again and carried on going round the corner! lol

im 14 and a half stone and have no problem getting it down (when im older i will probably have trouble getting it up!), between two and five years ago, i thought it was impossible to get just your knee down, and i wondered why they even fitted sensor bolts to the foot pegs as it seemed they would never even get close to going down. now i look at the pegs compared with sports bikes, and they are much lower, makes it much easier to put them down. and maybe my weight has something to do with it, i have gained a couple of stone over the past couple of years, maybe the suspension is a little more compressed than it used to be, and the bike is running a little lower with my new weight?? also fitted uprated fork springs which has definatly improved the handling and feedback.

just be carefull, as it really is on the threshold of getting messy at that point, i dare not lean over that far again.

I can't see that the tyres are starting to slide, I get up to these sort of antics all the time, sometimes with a pillion. There's loads in reserve, If there wasn't you wouldn't be able to accelerate out of the corner.

You do need to ensure a nice bit of grippy tarmac though to be sure, I must admit I'll bottle it if looks a bit too shiny.

Keep sunny side up!

if pushed hard enougth they slide and also give a puff of smoke

and agreed, tarmac defines how you should take a corner.
