Even the garages that claim to sold out have plenty of petrol they keep it for emergency services and essential users

rather than go out i'd suggest to get onto the pc and search for all the garages in your area and give them a call see if they have any, sounds like you're almost on fumes!

I haven't seen any shortages here in London. I've been able to drive straight up to a pump and fill up without even needing to queue.
