I do hope Edwards stays in MotoGP as he deserves it. Just hope he can take a wage cut as the Yamaha suits him.

Sete for Ducati? But why? Just to mark time? Surely then can find a young'un to give him a boost.

Melandri is shot on the Duke...no question...a shame and maybe his shot at any possibility of world champ gone with it. Deserved better.

If he wants to win then he might as well retire than ride a kawasaki... About the same chance of winning.

Quite a good possibility of that.

As for a call for younger people... Why? They have stoner. The team needs someone who isnt scared to have a scrap to entertain people. Let face it watching someone ride around a track is dull... If you do watch F1.

Using Sete?

Why not swap Max Biaggi and give Marco his ride in WSB?

Maybe because Sete is a way lot easier to manage as part of a team? Max is riding a satelite bike not a full works bike WSBK.

Remember that Sete was fast from the get go on testing the 800 cc bikes before the category started. He also had a lot of bad luck during his season with them.Dont forget that it is widely now accepted that the pile up at Catalunya in 2006 was caused by Loris straying across in to sete who was travelling faster.

I am not convinced any official word has been made yet, although it is a "watch this space" situation for sure.

I wonder if Sete will cut the mustard after so much time away.I do hope so cos we need a bit of close competition at the front.I was watching a few WSB races and they are much more entertaining than the recent GP stuff.GP needs to look to its laurals, and start by getting full grids again.I mean come on 17 starters in a blue riband event?

Possibly a more realistic story on the Marco situation has been placed on the website of MARCA the well known Spanish sports newspaper, which normally is pretty accurate rather than on football matters where it tends to be the mischievous arm of Real Madrid.

Ok,they are saying that Marco has been told by Livio Suppo that he must perform well in the next 2 races, mainly as Ducati have proven that they can run well at both Sachsenring and Laguna Seca.

Ducati want to see any change carried out to mutual benefit, but apparently Marco is digging in on a severance package from them,(this has been reported widely in Italy.) Ducati want to pay up his contract to the end of this season if he steps down,(he would receive the remainder of his 2.8 million euros per season salary.) Marco wants his contract paid up and that means being paid half for next season as per his contract.

Marco's manager has suggested that Kawasaki presently await Marco with open arms for next season. Curiously they are also chasing Sete Gibernau! Are Kawasaki edging their bets hoping to land at least one of them?

Ducati's doors are flung wide open for Sete to join and it might just be for a season and a half if he can get back to his fast pace that we were used to seeing from him.

Nothing wrong with Marco trying to get what he can. But I cannot see any improvement as all the comments from Marco have been extremely negative.

I don't think the Kwak will be his savoiur but hey ho.

Still can't get this Gibernau bit round me head. Sete is not match fit and to throw him into MotoGP is a bit of a strange one.
