Yup actually I reckon the best way to sort the rear is to get an SRAD750 shock and put the SV spring in it. Not tried it yet but it would get round the carp damping as standard.

A few secondhand on Ebay at the moment, you can buy the correct fitting kit afterwards from Abba if needs be.

But you can't remove the swingarm.
If anyone has an NWS stand I would appreciate pictures and some rough dimensions of the fixings as I want to make something similar to fit the abba stand.

i was also told i could stifen it by adding a 1/2" preload spacer under the fork caps, and increasing the weight of the oil in the forks. this way i dont need to buy new springs for it, has anyone tryed it this way or know anyone who had and also hod did it go fo them

Can help.
The way to set front preload the lazy git way.... Support the bike... undo the fork tops and slide the forks to the bottom of their travel. Measure the distance between yoke and dust seal... Now put a cable tie round the fork leg, not too tight. This will show you the maximum compression achieved on a ride. Add preload spacers a couple at a time untill you have 10mm of travel left over with normal riding.

![]() One question that is easily not asked is "when was the fork oil last changed". If you have oil that's not been changed in 20,000 miles , it's going to feel very bad. In my opinion and only my opinion alone lol, going too thick(how thick is to thick is another question lol) on the oil is not the best approach.....atleast if you ride on normal roads. We won't go into oil weigths ie 10W, 15W as not all 10W etc are the same. Ben |

I'm thinking of getting some Hyperpro or similar progressive springs fitted to my 99 SVS, my oil has never been changed and i'm at 21k miles now!
Does anyone know of anywhere in the Midlands that will supply and fit these? Thanks Rick |
