Does one need one? No
Are they nice to have to keep some cr&p off the back,protect the shock and look nicer? Yes.

Pyramid Plastics offer a vacum formed one which offer excellent rear shock protection as it extends down underneath the swingarm too. They zip tie on rather than bolt on though, hasn't stopped me having one for both my bikes!

This comes without a chain guard in black or carbon look (any carbon look is naff)...

on my thou i couldn't see that a hugger actually did anything so i sold it the water gets everywhere anyhow.

I'm not that keen on the look of rear huggers, but I have ordered one to protect my painted undertray. And if it keeps the shock a little cleaner, that's a bonus

I got a Black one from Busters , does the job and keeps cack off the Shock etc , don`t cost much either and bolt into place with a chain guard also . Didn`t want a colour coded one as there would be TOO much Blue

Thats the sort Dangerous Dave, I dont like the look of the ones with the chainguard as well.

I take it you have know issue with the way there fixed?

Have you got any pictures of it fitted??
