Tyres are likely to be a problem, standing in the same place has already been mentioned, but there is also to possibility that they will lose pressure slowly due to corrosion at the bead.

It will be fine i should imagine. If you can fil it up, and slosh the fuel arround. Open up the filler cap and shine a tourch in or just look to see if there are any flakes of rust floating.

But I very very much doubt a 3 yr old bike will have any rust on the fuel tank at all, either inside or out. But do be sure to check the hinges and the seams on the tank, that is where it seems to start.

Even if there is a touch of rust in the tank I wouldn't say that its a big enough problem to make it not a good buy?

Sounds like a good price.

I'll have a good look round the tyres also then. Will check the pressures before we take it and will then see what they are like once home etc and keep an eye on them.

To be honest, I love my Avons and me and Lily have already had a thought of ditching the stocks and just fitting new Avons to it from the get go. We should be able to scratch a little money off the price due to the alarm and alphadot not being fittied, if so, will get them straight away.

Drew,

I really wouldn't worry too much, its pretty much brand new and a bargain!!

If I were you I would do an oil and filter change just for peace of mind then get some miles on her. Anything else that crops up (if anything) can be sorted out as and when.

These little bikes are great and im sure Lily will have many happy trouble free miles

Im excited for you both
