I'm lucky in that mine are a later model with wider rim sizes which means I can stretch to a 110/70 front and a 130/70 rear but I think these would be over size on the 1989 rim sizes.

I would recommend against fitting oversize tyres for the road.

The guy in the shop I spoke to today was talking about oversized options but I'm not very keen on it either.
I think it is BT45's that are on it

Just went out and checked. It's BT39SS that are on it. Any experience of them?
