Update: After putting the tent, sleeping bags and all the other gubbins needed to go camping in the car, theres no room for the fecking thing anyways

When on holiday we got a cool box filled it with beer and ice cubes bought from tesco and within a short walk to the beach (10mins) the beer was so cold it hurt to hold the can!!!
Another trick is to get a clay plant pot put it over the can upside down then pour a bit of water over the pot. Once it evaporates your beer will be cold. This wont work when it isn't sunny obviously.
