Because Mr Durbs I was told either on here or another forum or in person (I can't remember which) that normal bathroom sealant is fine for sealing a sleeve.

Well I'm not going to change it now so I'll report back next week after I've given it a good run. If it all shoots out then so be it. If it doesn't then so be that.
