some people use diesel but you can use sodium chlorate

1 breaker bar
Sodium chlorate
watering can

make holes around the tree 2-3 feet down using breaker bar

make a nice strong solution of sodium chlorate and pour into holes and fill holes back in.

clean breaker bar and wipe for prints and with sodium chorlate and hide it in neighbours shed.

result dead tree

the tree is on council verge so may fall into the property. then i could get her to claim for a new fence to!

As told to me by a science teacher when asking to borrow his chain saw,

first
kill the tree with copper nails (put em by the base or roots) fairly quick process, then cut up once dead.

hope this helps.

What a green bunch you all are

Grinch you and I can chain ourselves to the tree

1) Just document all the efforts you make with the council & make them aware that you will hold them liable if the tree falls & injures you.
2) Don't put young children to go & play outside in a storm
3) Enjoy the tree beautifying the natural environment and soaking up all your carbon emmisions.
4) Job done.

Personally, if it were me, I'd buy/rent/borrow a chainsaw, then climb the tree & chop offending branches.

Leave the tree standing, and it'll most likely survive even with half it's branches cut off.

We've got a birch in the front garden that I tried to kill by chopping it up, and the beggar is growing back!!
