well...bending the horn away from the engine didn't make a huge difference...
the engine just has to be a few degrees hotter for the horn to stop working, but around town the engine reaches 95+ and the horn stops working around 87...

may try to move the horn to a whole new spot...

I know its good to have your horn working, but do you really need it that much.
When i get cut up im to busy braking and screaming with my head inside their car to press the horn!

Seriously, I've only been riding for about 2-3 months and its been needed once, big time. Of course everything is avoidable but a horn can help you out.

I like riding safe in the knowledge that...if necessary, I can wake up the pr*ck in the Porsche who just changed lanes without indicating, or disturb the idiot on the phone as he changes lane & lights a fag at the same time or even just alert the students crossing the road on a green light with their iPod in that I actually exist.

£20 from Halfords and half an hour of my time....probably the best mod I've made to my bike so far....now....where do you get those mohicans for your lid from.....

SoulKiss' horn is quite quiet by comparison.

Whilst that's true, a good horn, properly used can prevent you being cut up in the first place. Depending on where you live obviously.

It's always fun watching the taxi drivers that think " Sh!!t where did that truck come from?"

As said above, for the OP, the problem is generally heat related.
