Well it dont look great still but at least it will now go instead of being drowned in petrol. That was running WAY rich. A/F should be 13:1 for the best performance, looks like you are pretty much there with that you have printed off.
Whats the actual peak power there then? Cant see it well enough off of pic ![]() ![]() What do you want to know? |

I had my FZ1 custom mapped and my graph is a smooth increasing line.....I would say that whoever dyno'd the bike just sorted out ur 5-6k rpm issue and left the rest as is!!
I paid £80 and mine was a full custom map |

doubt you'd ever get a perfect waveform anway due to so many different irregularities. Even if he's just fixed the 5k rpm fault then it still looks better than before so i'd be happy.

Your dyno doesn't look far off this one, and this was taken when the bike was first released. http://www.sportrider.com/test/146_0.../photo_15.html

£70? £80? These are cheap prices for a remap on a dyno, or so I thought! I thought it was more in the region of £150-£200 for a proper remap.
This is a bit of a random question but do you have a carbon fibre end can, or was that mentioned in relation to the dyno at all? Reason being my CF Yoshi has in the paperwork that it invalidates the warranty if it goes on a dyno, because it can't take the heat as well as titanium/stainless steel (not that I have a warranty as it's from the US!). I thought it was scaremongering (although they only say it for CF ![]() |

The rest looks fine! All they can do with a PC3 is get the air/fuel mix right and above 5K it looks almost perfect, they cant make it any better... PC3's dont magic out power ![]() |

well I'm not going to go into a discussion of what a dyno does or a PC3
![]() a map on a bike and I've had 3 dyno'd up to now needs to be a smooth line obviously going upwards ![]() to my eyes this dyno only fixed the 5-6k rpm issue and the rest was left as is |

That's not a terrific graph to be perfectly honest, they haven't mapped out much of the hole at 5K, which shouldn't be difficult on a FI bike. The fuelling is all over the place at all revs.
The power and torque curves should be as smooth as this. I still have to clean up the fuelling in the midrange by dropping the carb needles one position. ![]() |
