But it isn't vehicle spec as it does not met manufacturer approval, Suzuki do not condone any other tyre size on the SV. You are right we do not have type approval in the UK, but if a manufacture says a certain product is not approved to be used and it is a contributing factor to an incident you are screwed.
The basics of the argument isn't what is legal, it is what the insurance companies will screw you over. Remember I had a lot of agro over my SRAD front end, even though I was stationary and hit from the side. |

I need a front wheel, its got a bad 'flat' spot on it (been pot holed or something).. so was wondering if a GSXR front wheel would fit. Its the same size of wheel, just need to know if I can swap everything else across??

Nah... axle is bigger for a start. You'll need an SV wheel.

So does it have to be year/model (K6) specific? or would an SV wheel from an older SV fit?

All Pointys will fit for sure, you need to get the spacers to fit the Curvy wheel but I have only done this with race bikes with no speedo so I am not sure what you would need to run the speedo.

Hang in there and see if somebody can clarify the spacer/speedo issue.

SV front wheels are pricey unfortunately, since a lot of people want spares and a lot of people bend them. Have you considered Hagon or Motoliners or similiar, get the old one unbent?
