If he had been giving me aggro previous, ie flying up behind me and as you say flashing his lights , I would have PMSL seeing the fud in a ditch and gave him a toot-toot , in a Roadrunner style.

Depends if you can be of further use. The three people that stopped stoppped because there was a car in their road, not cos they were first aiders or something. Maybe you could have helped better. Philbut overtook a car then crashed and the same car just drove past and Philbut thought that was well off. Overtaking is allowed, maybe silly, but everyone has a resposibility at an accident.
Though the chances are three cars stopping can probably deal with it, so I reckon you were ok driving past. |

I would have stopped and told the police that turned up that he was driving like a complete idiot......that is of course if he was driving dangerously and not just driving quickly.

You be would be suprised how often stuff gets thrown out of court due to lack of evidence.......the more information the police have on what happened leading up to the event the better.

As others above, I'd of stopped to offer help with treatment/calling emergency services/traffic management. Doesn't matter how many people are there really, so long as the person "in charge" of the incident has the respect of everyone attending.
After that, I'd of given a statement to the police as to how the driver was acting just before the accident. EDIT: Yes, I'd of also had a giggle about it. Only natural. Last edited by Baph; 17-09-08 at 01:26 PM. |

But as you say, it's only important if he was driving like a gentlemans wedding tackle. If he wasn't, just enjoying the road and it went a bit wrong, then the broken car should be enough. If he was, well it's pretty subjective. Us bikers probably wind lots of car drivers up. Would be rather harsh to get shopped for falling off simply because an busy body doing 30 in a NSL took exception to you overtaking them.
