Cheers guys

I've got a '53 plate SV650S in silver...fully faired I think (correct me if I've got that wrong lol!) I've tried to upload a picture...let's see if it works! It's restricted to 33bhp for the moment. Was thinking of doing the bigger test at some point but have been told it's a waste of time and money and just to stick with what I've got for a few years.

I'm fine on the open roads and actually ok in towns too surprisingly, but I just couldn't get it out the garden this morning! There's a bit of back-and-forwards required to manouver it out and I just didn't have the knack...got it stuck in the neighbours garden and had to call hubby to get him out his bed to come and rescue me/bike/neighbours garden! Oh well...maybe tomorrow!!!

Looks very nice Laura . You will soon get the hang of manouvering it...plenty of practice, at least your husband can help you until you do

Well done. If you get a chance, go and do a Bikesafe day. Your local police force probably run them all year and it only costs about £50. They assess your riding and give you loads of tips and it will help your confidence no end, especially as you do it on your own bike, so different from the ones you do your test on.

I was having a few problems wobbling round narrow corners at slow speeds and getting sore wrists on my new SV. The instructor soon had me mastering the art of counter balance and getting me to adjust my riding position to suit the sportier shape of the SV which sorted out all those problems. Plus they took me down the really bendy country roads and showed me how to keep my nerve and corner safely - which was huge fun.
