rob get yourself to y'thai in stokesley , sundays buffet for 9.95 or something and grab anything in basil, or the prawn dish at the end, both will be quite spicy but more importantly nicly flavoured - best money you can spend on a sunday, i love the place

Thanks for the suggestions folks, those Dorset Naga's look extremely dangerous, never mind hot!
I can dip my chips in that Habanero Scoth Bonnet stuff or the Nando's V Hot sauce as if its Tommy K, while like I said, even the most challenging pizza/madras doesnt have me begging for mercy.. I cannot however comment on the following day. I still know when Ive eaten something hot! |

Sounds like you have built up an immunity.
Hot spices can become addictive because they cause the release of chemicals in the brain (Dopamine, I think) to reduce the pain feelings in your face. If you are seeking that fix, then you my boy are a spice addict. The best hope you have is hot chilli peppers and other pain inducing spices. I find a super hot chilli works wonders, especially if made with lots of beans. The burn leaves my face in tingles for about half an hour after consuming. Mind you I also put chillis on Cheese on Toast and have tried Chilli Chocolate (which was foul and not that chocolaty). As for Thai Curry, my partner cooks a mean one and that gets me going (in both senses of the word). Give it a try. |

I will try and put anything chilli with anything if I can. I am having a Chilli con Carne later this week and might seek out a way to really spice it up. Whats the best stuff to add to it without compromising the flavour?
