all good ideas - dont think the house has an alarm at the moment but it will be one of the first purchases (after an overbath shower). If it'll cost too much to link the house and garage together with an alarm, I'll just get a standalone system for the garage...
In the meantime I'll be able to park my car directly infront of the garage door which should restrict the amount of room to even wheel/lift the bike past without the use of a mini crane or the incredible hulk... Got a spare calor gas fire at work, got a spare leather sofa at work too but I think it'll take up all the room. Any tips on spider proofing? I don't mind one or two but the house we're in now is horrific. The spiders shout at you if you turn the light on when it's dark.

I pimped my garage last year, you go for it mate!
Its nowhere near the house so I installed 2 double 13A sockets, a few fluorescent tubes and a convector heater someone gave me. Add some carpet and some kitchen units and shelves and paint the walls, jobs a good un! My garage is the biggest "plug in" device I have. It plugs into the shed, which is (Part P'd before you ask....) ran from the house! Yes, its not technically very safe, but its better than being cold and dark! (with the added bonus of potential deadness if it goes wrong! Don't worry, its fused/RCD'd ![]() |
