no........ 10w40 is the only oil to be used in SV, don't matter what brand or synth or semi-synth. even if its Halfrauds cheap n nasty so long as its 10W40

10w40 and motorcycle oil only!
As already said, you should be checking the oil every week at least and if you start using the bike a little more start checking every day and then you will get a rough idea of how much you use. |
