Haggis is lung and heart with oats and barley, midly spiced and flavoured with whisky. Traditionally served within a sheeps stomach but now synthetic similar to sausage. Excellent steamed boiled baked or fried, if you want to anglify it a bit serve it in Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy.
Miss YC that haggis would feed 20 easy. |

You want to hear irony? I'm fine with lungs and heart, I can't eat the ****ing oats!

Does that mean someone makes you an oat free haggis?
I do hope so.

They can make a vegetarian haggis apparently, so I don't see why they can't make an oat-free one lol. Very bizarre that though Northy, I take it you don't like porridge or flapjack then?

Mmm, flapjacks. Nah, not allowed oats. You could make an oat free haggis, probably, but it'd be a bit of a marginal market I guess, a market of one! Maybe I should try. anyone got any hearts they're not using?

Never tried Haggis and I am not sure that I would. The thought of what is in it puts me off.
Never had black pudding either! You going to bring some Haggis to the AR now miss YC instead of cakes? |

Mmmmmm... Haggis, black pudding, hearts, lungs, liver - all bloody lovely!
Can't understand peoples objections to such foods, not that I think everyone should like it - we all have our tastes - but I don't get the 'it's made of a certain part of an animal' dislike, it's a dead animal therefore whatever bit it is it's all meat. Gluten intolerance?
