Haggis is lung and heart with oats and barley, midly spiced and flavoured with whisky. Traditionally served within a sheeps stomach but now synthetic similar to sausage. Excellent steamed boiled baked or fried, if you want to anglify it a bit serve it in Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy.
Miss YC that haggis would feed 20 easy.

That's amazing! Didn't look that big at all, but there was loads dished out on the plates and loads left over on the platter! No wonder it used to be a favourite food of the poor with it stretching so far

They can make a vegetarian haggis apparently, so I don't see why they can't make an oat-free one lol. Very bizarre that though Northy, I take it you don't like porridge or flapjack then?

Mmm, flapjacks. Nah, not allowed oats. You could make an oat free haggis, probably, but it'd be a bit of a marginal market I guess, a market of one! Maybe I should try. anyone got any hearts they're not using?

Never tried Haggis and I am not sure that I would. The thought of what is in it puts me off.

Never had black pudding either!

You going to bring some Haggis to the AR now miss YC instead of cakes?

Mmmmmm... Haggis, black pudding, hearts, lungs, liver - all bloody lovely!

Can't understand peoples objections to such foods, not that I think everyone should like it - we all have our tastes - but I don't get the 'it's made of a certain part of an animal' dislike, it's a dead animal therefore whatever bit it is it's all meat.
