yeppers cbr600f would be a good choice - i'll second that. also that made me think of a kwak zzr600 - but you'd struggle to spend £4k on one of those these days.

When Odin said he wanted a mile muncher, I did think of relative comfort which is why I thought about bikes with higher bars. If he wants to get off feeling refreshed, then I would think the Dullsville, Fazer, Bandit, Hornet S, CBF600, Kawa Z750 S would allow you to arrive at your destination in relative comfort. An old Divvy would be very cheap to buy and run but pretty nasty to ride I would imagine. GSXF teapot have high bars? I would look to buy something cheap for it and then enjoy the money left on using the good bike to go on a couple of jollys!
