I too have a YBR and had trouble with the centre stand when I first got it (and sometimes still do if I'm feeling a bit pathetic!!) But after much practice I have found it's all in the way you stand, i.e. instead of just using brut force and trying to pull it, balance your weight on the stand and it will naturally rock backwards - it's also much easier as the tank gets emptier!!

iv got hold of one from a breakers yard! i will be in the girlfriends good books!!
I wouldnt mind having a centre stand for my SV....Ill just get a paddock stand i think for servicing etc... |

Paddock/abba stand good, much more stable than a centrestand! Especially when you need to use a bit of brute force and a hammer

Yeah get an abba or better yet NWS stand.
Centre stand on SV is only good for taking bits out of your leg.
