don't forget copper slip to stop any future seizing. Start at one end and work back but i can't advise anymore as i'm a carb noob. Might be worth the R6 throttle mod?

Im confused as to what it coule be. I have never heard of a set of carbs siezing at all as most of the bushes in the pivots are brass! The only real way of sorting it is to take the carbs off and check, strip and clean. Its really not that hard, you will however, need a long philips screwdriver.
A couple of things to check. Take the airbox off so that you can get a better look at things. There is a linkage on the left of the carbs (as looking to the front of the bike) give that a tug. Make sure there is nothing fouling the mechanism at all. If you can, see if you can push the butterflys round with your finger. If noe of this is no, then it really is carbs off, strip clean and grease. USe white grease on the pivots. My bike is 8 years old and oterh than rusty cables, i have never had this issue. Good luck |

This is a new one.
Try and wiggle the linkage on the left of the rear carb, see if the rear carb moves, there is a little bit of spring there. (careful with the adjuster screw, don't move it.) Then it's just carbs off, strip stuff down and grease it until it'll work.
